Collaborations

The Australian Ballet

Collette’s first collaboration with The Australian Ballet was a dress commissioned in 2003 for ‘TUTU’, a project in which 12 Australian fashion designers were asked to create their interpretation of the tutu. The tutu’s were modelled by dancers at a special parade and were displayed at the National Gallery of Victoria.

In 2012, Collette collaborated with The Australian Ballet and Target to create a collection of ballet inspired tutus and outfits for girls aged 3-8. The collection coincided with The Australian Ballet’s 50th Anniversary, and 10% of the retail price of every item sold was donated to The Australian Ballet’s education programs.

In 2014, Collette’s second collaboration was inspired by the ‘Nutcracker’ and was sold in Target stores nationwide.
