The Dom Perignon Lounge in Sydney’s Establishment Hotel was designed by Collette in 2009. Collette was the third designer – after Marc Newson and Karl Lagerfeld – to be asked to create one.
The space was reflective of 1930’s Riviera glamour and luxury – modern in design using curved and geometric shapes, but embellished with Dinnigan’s signature detailing.
Featuring lilac and dove grey walls with silver accents; a raised black-wood floor; and a sunken oval bar surrounded by 1930’s European stools. In the centre of the space were custom made couches covered in grey velvet from France, illuminated by an over-head Murano Waterfall Crystal Chandelier sourced from New York.
International artist, Tim Maguire, created a feature piece ‘Reflead II’, using a lightbox to frame the artwork.
The lounge was open for a year in 2009/2010.
Dom Perignon and Collette Dinnigan have collaborated many times for events, launches and shows.
