The top floor of a 200-year-old building in the centro historico in Rome, with ancient wooden beams and terracotta handmade roof tiles was a dream to renovate.I reconfigured the layout to include two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The marble was hand carved for me in Rome by master craftsmen. The furniture was sourced from the antique markets in Parma with a mix of contemporary pieces found in the city. The artworks were collected on my travels throughout Italy. We added an external balcony all the better to gaze across the incredible rooftops of Rome.
